Dæmon
Death's Commander
Imperial · Necromancer
“I do not fear death. I command it.”
A gentleman pirate turned necromancer — charismatic, calculating, and entirely beyond mortality. Not evil; simply past the point where good and evil still apply.
Captain of a ghost ship and its spectral crew, haunting the depths of the Blackwater with the loyal dead at his back.
The only member of the crew who wasn't recruited — Kozmo struck a bargain with him. Nobody knows the terms. Not even, perhaps, Kozmo.
The Legend
- 1
The Powder Monkey
Once merely Damon — a powder monkey, the lowest position aboard a warship. He endured, learned, and survived, rising by sheer will all the way to First Mate.
- 2
The Battle of the Blackwater
His captain captured, his crew slaughtered, his ship boarded and burned. Bound and helpless, Damon watched everything he loved sink into the depths.
- 3
The Bargain Beneath the Waves
As he sank into the dark, one phrase remained — “What is dead may never die, but rises again harder and stronger.” Something ancient and hungry answered. Damon died. Dæmon rose.
- 4
The Ghost Ship
He raised his sunken vessel and took command of its spectral crew, haunting the Blackwater — until Kozmo's band came stumbling across his waters, and a bargain was struck.
Signature
- Civilian form — pale sea-green skin, slicked-back hair, an eyepatch, and a curled gentleman's beard
- Battle form — an eldritch sea mask, glowing blue eyes, and nautical armor
- Ghostly blue magic and spectral weapons; the oceanic death aesthetic
- A ghost ship crewed by his drowned, loyal dead
- Archetype: the cursed captain — Davy Jones by way of a gentleman necromancer
